See you all again soon.

“Blast off!”

This term our topic is ‘Blast off”. We have been so busy learning all about Space!  We have read and retold many stories about space, one of our favourites has been ‘Aliens wear underpants’. We have been retelling and sequencing the story making sure we include the beginning, middle and end. We then decided to create our own underpants! We are hoping the aliens don’t steal them!

We are getting confident with our numbers to 20 now. We have been practising forwards and backward, counting down to zero for a blast off!

We are also getting very clever at knowing the names of many 2D. We created shape monsters and rockets using a variety of the shapes, naming each of the shapes as we used them!

We have also been beginning to think about 3D shape names. We worked hard together as a class to create a 3D shape rocket!

During our explore times we are always thinking about work hard together, we have been enjoying building rocket ships!

Last week we were even lucky enough to visit the Science Museum to learn more about our topic “Blast off!” We had lots of fun exploring and learning, we even got to try dressing up as an astronaut!
